The second largest vendor in the PC market, Acer, announced today its new gaming desktop personal computer, the Acer Aspire “Predator”. It is equipped with the finest processor, graphics and memory technologies to assure it is ready for intensive games at the very beginning.

The Aspire Predator by Acer is a monster machine, equipped with the Intel Core i7 quad core processor, nVidia GeForce GTX470 Graphics Card with a three-way SLI support, and the amazing 9 gigabytes of DDR3 memory. The RAM memory can also be expanded to 12GB for maximum performance.

“Designed to conquer and destroy, the Aspire Predator boasts a rugged, intimidating chassis as well as super power and speed,” said Susan Hu, retail desktop product management for Acer Canada. “It’s a smoking hot gaming rig delivering eye-popping graphics and dynamic audio for a jaw dropping experience that will fire up even hard core gamers. The Acer Aspire “Predator” Gaming Desktop PC is expected to be priced at $1.799 in Canada.

Acer introduces the AspireRevo, the first nettop PC based on Atom processor and NVIDIA’s Ion graphics. The AspireRevo is powered by Intel Atom 230 1.6GHz processor, up to 4GB RAM, and NVIDIA Ion graphics chipset. Thanks to the Ion chipset, the AspireRevo can handle 1080p HD video with 7.1 audio.

The nettop has 250GB hard drive and a 4-in-1 card reader. It offers HDMI and VGA outputs. It will be priced at about $300.

Acer introduces the new X1130 projector based on DLP technology. The X1130 features 800×600 VGA resolution, 2500:1 contrast ratio and 2300 ANSI lumens brightness. The projector has a low 31dB noise level. It offers RGB, Composite and S-video inputs.

Acer announced the new Ferrari 1200 AMD-powered ultra portable laptop PC, the successor of the Ferrari 1100. The Ferrari 1200 has a carbon-bibre cover and soft-touch coating. It is powered by an AMD Turion X2 Ultra dual core mobile processor, AMD M780G chipset with graphics capabilities, up to 4GB of RAM and a SATA hard drive.

Acer Ferrari 1200 features a 12.1-inch LED-backlit LCD diaplay, WiFi, Bluetooth, Acer Crystal Eye webcam, and integrated Acer Bio-Protection fingerprint scanner. The Ferrari 1200 will come bundled with Bluetooth wireless mouse and optional Xpress VoIP phone that are emblazoned with Acer and Ferrari Racing Shield logos.
