In addition to the new A6220, Fujitsu offers in the US the new Lifebook P8020 that is the successor of the P8010. The LifeBook P8020 is a Centrino 2-based ultra portable laptop weiging 2.9 pounds.

Powered by Core 2 Duo SU9400 Ulta Low Voltage 1.4GHz processor, the Lifebook P8020 features up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, integrated Intel GMA 4500 MHD video graphics, a 12.1-inch LCD display, up to 320GB hard drive, Dual layer DVD multi burner, and a 1.3 Megapixel camera. 64GB ans 128GB SSD options are also available.

P8020 offers also WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, SD card slot,Fingerprint Sensor with TruePoint Technology and Gesture-enabled touchpad that lets users control many functions through simple finger movements for an enhanced interactive.

The price of Lifebook P8020 starts at $1,799.

Sony introduces the new VAIO TT series laptop PC that is the world’s lightest Blu-ray notebook. The VAIO TT is housed in a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis and features a 11.1-inch XBRITE-DuraView LCD display.

Based on Intel’s Centrino 2 technology, the VAIO TT comes with integrated Blu-ray disc drive and dual channel 256GB (128GB X 2) SSD with RAID set-up. TT integrates also the WWAN module for connecting Sprint Mobile Broadband Network (EV-DO Rev. A).

The VAIO TT series offers HDMI output connector and LED backlit LCD. The TT series starts at $2000. The Blu-ray version will cost $2700 while the SSD version for $2,750.

Sony presents the new VAIO NS series laptop PC that comes with integrated Blu-ray optical drive. Currently two models are available, the VGN-NS140 and the VGN-NS190. Only the VAIO VGN-NS190 packs a Blu-ray drive.

Both of them are powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo T5800 2GHz processor, integrated X4500 graphics and 250GB hard drive. They runs the Windows Vista Home Premium and has a 15.4-inch widescreen LCD with XBRITE-ECO technology. They offer also integrated camera and microphone. The VGN-NS140 gets 3GB of RAM while the VGN-NS190 has 4GB.

The NS series is not yet available. The price starts at $650.

Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific announced the Fujitsu L1010 laptop PC targeted at Generation Y-ers, tech-savvy young adults. Based on Centrino 2 technology, the L1010 is powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, Intel PM45/GM45 Express Chipset and Intel WiFi Link 5300AGN for wireless connectivity.

Fujitsu L1010 has a unique hinge design such that no obvious hinge joints are revealed when its cover is closed. Fujitsu L1010 comes with built-in 1.3 Megapixel webcam and microphone for Gen Y-ers to keep connected with their friends.

This Gen-Y-oriented laptop is capable of gaming thanks to the  NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS video card with 256MB video RAM and the 14.1-inch LCD display. L1010 has HDMI out for transmission of High Definition videos to your LCD TV.

Fujitsu L1010 will be available in several colors. Pricing and availability are not yet announced.

Lenovo launches its new ThinkPad W series mobile workstation notebook PC, including the W500 and W700. Lenovo describe the new W series as the most powerful laptop.

ThinkPad W500 runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor, and 1GB of RAM. It has the ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 video card with 512MB RAM. There is also a 100GB HDD and a 15.4-inch LCD display. The price starts at $1629.

Powered by the same T9400 processor, the W700 gets 2GB of memory and the 512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX-2700 graphics. It offers 160GB hard drive and a 17-inch display. The price starts at $2978.

The two notebooks both support WiFi wireless connectivity. You may also want to get WiMax, WWAN, Mobile broadband and Bluetooth. SSD option is also available.
